LeAnn Rimes left her ex-husband Dean Sheremet for Eddie Cibrian back in 2009, but the former backup dancer still has a lot to say about it — and it ain’t pretty.
While the court of public opinion has generally landed on the side of Sheremet and Brandi Glanville because their spouses were cheating, this new interview could change that. Sheremet sat down with Natalie Thomas of the blog Nat’s Next Adventure to finally tell his side of the story, and honestly, he comes off as very egotistical and bitter.

“Never in a million years did I think something like that would have happened,” Sheremet said. “The need for me in her life was so strong. There were things she couldn’t do without me. She had her own phone but never used it. People would call me to get to her. Everything went through me.
“This is childish and I recognize that now, but I never thought I got the credit I deserved for the work I did,” he continued. “So that resentment slowly built over time. I have my own dreams and goals and I felt like there wasn’t room for me.”
Wait, what? What work did he do? He was Rimes’ background dancer when they wed, but later became her manager. “There was fighting,” he recalled. “And I was so intertwined in managing her career that I didn’t know how to make the distinction between husband and boss, husband and partner, husband and manager… I was husband, father, friend, lover, manager… There wasn’t a decision that got made that didn’t have my thumbprint or stamp of approval.
“The dumbest thing she ever did for her career was divorce me… Because we were such a good team,” he continued. “The last hit song she had was when she was with me. It was ‘Nothing Better to Do.'”

Ouch. And as for Eddie Cibrian, Sheremet doesn’t hold back there, either.
“I just remember being like, ‘Oh, God, just another one of those Hollywood pretty boys,'” he said of his first meeting with the actor. “If you’re in a room with him, he’s probably one of the most charming people you’ll ever meet. But I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw this f***ing table… He just felt like one of those guys from the beginning. A total schmoozer. Very Hollywood. I never bought his shtick. But I wasn’t worried.”
He did say one thing that made us feel really sorry for him, though. He shared an intensely personal moment — the moment that probably finally put the nail in the coffin of their marriage for good.
“The hardest part was someone standing in the back of the bus in the middle of nowhere and saying, ‘I don’t love you anymore.’ I would’ve rather she said, ‘I slept with 20 guys,'” he said.
Can’t really blame the guy for being a little bitter, but he now has a new wife and a new life. Maybe it’s time to move on?
