The cast of Teen Mom OG has decided that tots and porn don’t mix, so when Farrah Abraham was invited back, it caused quite an uproar — and one star even threatened to quit.
In the preview of the upcoming show, original Teen Mom cast members, Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell, flip out when a producer tells them that Farrah Abraham will be returning. It seems they are not pleased that they will be associated with the new career in the adult industry she has carved out for herself after starring in porn, writing erotica and hawking sex toys. In fact, Bookout is so ticked, she threatens to leave the show!

Now the girls are speaking out about their feelings on Abraham, and what Bookout says makes total sense.
“I can’t really comment on my leaving the show,” she told E! News. “As far as the way I felt when she was returning, it’s not about Farrah. I don’t hold a grudge against her, I’m not mad at her, I don’t judge her — nothing like that. But there’s also a fine line with what I find appropriate and I just don’t think it’s appropriate for my 6-year-old son to be involved with some of the things that Farrah is involved with.
“So, you know, if we’re watching one scene and he’s in the front yard throwing baseball and then five seconds later they’re at a strip club, to me, that’s just not appropriate,” she added. “And you know, the show’s going to air on Mondays and that’s going to be happening and then he has to wake up and go to school the next day with 6 and 7-year-olds in kindergarten that just watched all of that happen.
“So it’s difficult for me because I feel like my ability to make the right choices as a parent was kind of taken away from me when they decided to bring her back,” she finished.
Lowell agreed. “At first, for a little bit, we were kind of OK with it,” she said. “Until we really sat down about it and were like, ‘Um, we don’t know how good this is for the moral compass of the show.’ Like, we are trying to educate girls about good things, not so much the sex industry part.”
But Portwood was a little more understanding. “It’s just shocking sometimes, to me, when I knew Farrah… she would never do something like that, and when I found out she did, I was in prison,” she explained. “I can’t really judge much on anything.”
So is this a question of protecting the children or is it an issue of “let she without sin cast the first stone”? MTV is obviously just doing it for the ratings, but we really see Bookout and Lowell’s points. However, maybe if they are that concerned with their children’s welfare, they wouldn’t have their kids on a reality show in the first place.
