The Duggars are no strangers to controversy, and the latest member to cause an internet uproar is Josh Duggar’s pregnant wife, Anna.

The expectant mom recently took to Twitter to share her controversial views about Muslim holiday celebrations.
While Anna did not say the words herself, she retweeted a tweet from Act for America’s Brigitte Gabriel, who expressed disdain that these holidays would be introduced into public schools, and linked to an article on Oregon Live about how New York City schools will start observing two important Muslim holidays next year: Eid al-Adha (or the Festival of Sacrifice) and Eid al-Fitr (the end of Ramadan).

Anna and the Duggars are part of the Christian Fundamentalist religion, and they have strict rules and practices — they also tend to make a lot of questionable comments about anything that does not fit into their beliefs.
Her comments might seem a little out of place because the Duggars do not even attend public schools, they homeschool. Of course, Anna is entitled to her own opinion, but as a public figure, it’s important to respect other religions and encourage religious freedom, and that is why there are many people who will be so upset with her views; but there are also those who agree with her.
One user wrote, “@Anna_Duggar that is pretty intolerant of you,” while another said, “@Anna_Duggar why does that offend you? School can close for Yom Kippur or Christmas but Muslim holidays are off limits?”
Others agreed with the tweet, though. “As a Christian, and American, I’m offended. What contribution has Islam made to the World, other than jihad?” one user wrote. Another asked, “Can we Christians, have the same privilege?”
