Dave Benett’s Instagram page is a treasure trove of celeb pics

Sometimes we stumble upon an Instagram page that we just can’t help stalking on a daily basis. Dave Benett has been photographing the stars for over 40 years and his Instagram account is the ultimate guilty pleasure for celebrity fans.

Benett started his career as a photographer in the 1970s and soon decided to focus entirely on snapping the famous faces of the world. His impressive portfolio includes the Queen, Nelson Mandela and Michael Jackson but he’s possibly best known for catapulting Elizabeth Hurley to fame when he captured her in a certain little black dress at the premiere of her then boyfriend Hugh Grant’s film Four Weddings and a Funeral.

His Instagram page also features the Gallagher brothers looking loved up with Patsy Kensit and Meg Matthews, Jerry Hall and Marie Helvin hamming it up backstage at Red Nose Day 1995, Princess Diana and Liza Minnelli giggling together at a star-studded bash and a young Elton John sharing a joke with Gianni Versace. And, of course, Kate Moss doing what she does best: partying up a storm with her celeb pals at various London nightspots.

Benett is adding iconic images to his Instagram page on a daily basis right now, making it unmissable if you like to see your favourite celebrities off duty before the days of social media and selfies.
