The biological mother of one of Rosie O’Donnell’s children is making some shocking allegations against the star, but she isn’t taking it lying down.
Deanna Micoley, who claims to be the biological mother of O’Donnell’s now-17-year-old-daughter Chelsea, told the Enquirer that the former View host knew she was high on heroin when she signed the adoption papers.

“I believe Rosie O’Donnell knew that I was in no condition to sign away my parental rights to my daughter,” she told the tabloid. “She did the worst thing one woman can do to another woman — take her child!
“I may not have been the best mother back then,” she said. “I did drugs and I have a criminal record because of it. But surely I didn’t deserve to have my baby stolen from me.
“Rosie O’Donnell stole my baby, but I don’t want her money. I just want my daughter back,” she added.
While these claims sound like the sour grapes of a drug addict, Micoley’s next accusation is explosive: she says O’Donnell has, for all intents and purposes, abandoned Chelsea.
“Chelsea has told me she had issues with Rosie,” she claimed. “I believe Rosie has abandoned her. Since about the age of 12, Rosie basically shipped off Chelsea to different boarding schools.
“Rosie even hired someone to dig up my criminal record and gave it to Chelsea.”

Through her publicist, O’Donnell absolutely refuted Micoley’s allegations that the adoption was anything but on the up-and-up, and expressed her disgust that the birth mother would violate her relationship with Chelsea by selling an interview to a tabloid.
“The agency never would have accepted the baby if the birth mother was under the influence,” said rep Cindi Berger.
“There are notarized adoption papers signed by the birth mother and father that were accepted by both the adoption agency and the court. [My client] is unbearably proud of Chelsea and has encouraged and supported Chelsea’s desire to communicate with her birth mother. How disappointing that Chelsea’s birth mother would go public with this personal story without ever having met Rosie.”
O’Donnell has five children.
