At this point in Scandal, you know if Olivia Pope is calling Cyrus at 4 a.m., there is some crazy shit going down.

The new clip of Thursday’s show, which E! News first reported on, gets even more intense when Cyrus loses himself with swearwords when Olivia (Kerry Washington) delivers whatever she called to tell him about.
The sneak peek is a complicated game of telephone that begins when Olivia gets a call, waking her from bed, and she’s rocking some seriously quaffed bed head. She looks shocked by the caller ID. And whatever the caller tells her spurs her to rally her troop of gladiators.
Quinn is the next to receive a call. Then we see Abby, who’s already out of bed and getting herself ready.

Abby’s boyfriend Leo confirms that whatever the call was about, it was huge. “It’s 4 a.m. You don’t go in at 4 a.m. unless something big happened. Did someone drop a nuke on us? Did aliens land? Is the White House on fire?”
Did you notice which gladiator didn’t receive a call? Huck was mysteriously out of the loop, which means he could be at the center of this giant catastrophe, meaning the B613 secrets could be crumbling faster than we expected.
According to the official synopsis for the episode, “When Michael gets himself in a bad situation, the Gladiators launch into damage control and put pressure on Cyrus to move up the wedding. Meanwhile, David takes the first step in executing his plan to take down B613.”
