We’ve all tried helium and laughed at the effects it had on our voices, but have you ever wondered what Helen Mirren would sound like on helium? Well, if you have, then you are in luck because during her recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, that’s exactly what happened — and the results were pure brilliance.

Below are just some of the reasons why we loved this skit.
1. She’s so down-to-earth
Even though Mirren hadn’t done the helium trick since she was 11 years old, she was perfectly happy to let her inner child show. With several awards under her belt, including an Academy Award for Best Actress, three Golden Globe Awards and four Emmys, it’s so amazing to see just how down-to-earth the The Queen actress really is.
2. Her laugh is amazing
We were thrilled when we watched the video because Mirren has such an amazing laugh, and she genuinely seemed to be enjoying herself throughout her appearance on the The Tonight Show.

3. She made a dirty joke…
Just before Mirren puts a big red balloon to her lips, she makes a dirty little joke, “Oooh, suck in.” She then laughs and apologizes, and it’s hilarious.
4. … and one about flatulence
Just watch what happens after Mirren and Fallon swap balloons, and she jokes about flatulence. Brilliant.

5. Her “panda” acceptance speech might just be the best acceptance speech ever
Now imagine Mirren doing a fake acceptance speech in a super squeaky voice, and saying, “Oh thank you, I’m so honored.” LOL.
