Joe Giudice is finally speaking out about what it’s like at home with his wife, Teresa, serving a prison sentence.

According to the former The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, the family dynamics are different, but he and the couple’s four children are trying to stay positive about the whole situation.
“When you have four kids, you have to stay strong,” Joe told Extra! “Her being away definitely makes me appreciate her way more, a lot more, and you know everything she did.”
One thing Joe didn’t address? Persistent rumors that he’s cheated on his wife while she’s been serving time.

Teresa began her 15-month prison sentence at Danbury prison on Jan. 5 after pleading guilty to bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. Joe has a sentence coming up, too, but the sentencing judge ruled he and Teresa could serve at different times so one of them would be home with their children at all times. And it sounds like the children are keeping Joe busy while their mom’s away — E! News reports the four girls split their time between school work, sports and even a music career.
Meanwhile, Joe revealed, Teresa is doing better in prison than the family originally expected.
“She’s got a little group she hangs out with and does her thing with every day, and who she goes to the gym with and who she hangs out with, and who does her hair and who does her nails,” he said. “They have their little thing going every day.”
And Teresa’s family is staying closely in touch.
“[The kids] e-mail her all the time… every day, so, they e-mail more than me,” Joe added. “We try to make it up there every weekend and we bring her mom up every weekend.”
As for what the future has in store for the family of former reality TV stars? Probably not a return to Real Housewives, Joe said.

“The numbers would have to be very big in order to go back,” he said. “We’ll see… as of right now, there’s nothing.”
