Kanye West rapping with his mother will give you all the feels (VIDEO)

Well, this is something different.

It is not a video of Kanye assaulting a photographer or ranting about other musicians he doesn’t feel are as good as Beyoncé (which is all of them). It is a video of the young rapper in his home with his mother, Donda West, and they are rapping together.

Kanye’s mother has always been and still continues to be a great source of inspiration for the performer, and the road since her tragic and unexpected death has been a hard one to travel for the Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy artist. The video was shot by MTV for a special about the creation of Late Registration. It is beautiful, yes, but also haunting and so terribly sad.

You can see the joy and love between the two of them and how Kanye seems to have none of that hard exterior he often puts up in public.

West continues to channel his mother in his music and other ventures. He named his creative house, Donda, in her honor. His tribute to her, “Hey, Mama,” was included on his album, Late Registration. And his recent single, “Only One,” is meant to be from his mother’s perspective as if she is singing through him to his daughter, North.

Check out the touching video.
