Bruce Jenner is set for a sit-down with Diane Sawyer this month to spill some sort of huge secret — so what is it? As rumors swirl about the Olympian’s personal life, we’re looking at a few things we already know about or are pretty sure are going to happen on the special.
1. The elephant in the room will be addressed
We’ve all been hearing the rumors about Bruce Jenner being transgender for two years now. Is he or isn’t he? We’re hearing that Bruce will let the cat out of the bag and talk about how he is transitioning to live as a woman.
2. The Kardashians have fled the country
Kim and Khloé Kardashian, along with Kanye and North West, landed in Armenia today for a trip that will definitely take them out of the glaring American paparazzi limelight for a bit. Kourtney Kardashian and Bruce’s ex, Kris Jenner, are thought to be joining them. The trip has been planned since January, but we’re hearing that Bruce has been filming for the ABC special since then, too.

3. None of the Kardashians will be on it
Bruce’s children from his pre-Kris marriages, including his sons Burt, Brody and Brandon Jenner, plus Bruce’s mom (who previously spoke to tabloids about that big rumor) will all talk with Sawyer, but none of the Kardashian women or Kendall or Kylie Jenner agreed to go on camera — nor did Kris.
4. Expect him to spill about his marriage to Kris
Bruce will talk about how he told Kris — and his other exes — that he wants to live as a woman, and what her reaction was. Kris will not appear on the special, but she and the rest of the Kardashian clan are expected to throw their support behind him publicly via social media.
5. Bruce won’t be “Bruce” anymore
Bruce already has a new name picked out for his new life as a woman — but we won’t learn what it is on the ABC special. Will he go with another B name like his sons, or a K name like his daughters? Or will he branch out to a whole new letter entirely? Perhaps he will give us at least a hint.

6. We won’t see Bruce dress as a woman
Bruce will talk about his transition and the steps he is taking to live as a woman, including surgeries, but he will not appear dressed as a woman on camera.
7. It’s less about the outside and more about the inside
The show will stress the mental and emotional journey Bruce is going through with this life-altering decision, and dwell less on the physical aspects of the change.
8. The promo builds anticipation
We’ve all been wondering and waiting with bated breath what else ABC might have in store for us. Now you can check out the latest promo for the interview. It doesn’t contain much more information than we already know, but all the shadowy figures and blurred images make us burn with anticipation even more!

9. Jenner is just as concerned as we are
In what should be the final promo before his big interview, Bruce asks Sawyer, “How does my story end?” and promises that his biggest concern was making sure he doesn’t hurt his family through all of this. For us, however, we’re more concerned about Jenner. He’s been through so much speculation and chance in the last year. We hope this interview isn’t a breaking point but a true sign of good things to come for him.
10. Diane Sawyer says Bruce’s story is all about love
Say what you want about the Kardashians, but Sawyer says she saw an amazing amount of love exchanged between the Jenners and Kardashians. Though she had never met Jenner prior to the interview, they spent several days together talking. During an interview with Kelly and Michael on the morning before the interview aired, Sawyer said, “In so many ways, this family is going to teach all of us, in our lives, I think about love and what love is.”
