It’s official: E! has confirmed that the rumored Bruce Jenner docuseries is a go! While most details have yet to be released, here is what we know so far.
1. It will be long
If you thought it would just be an extra episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, think again. Bruce is on board for eight episodes that will be a full hour each — that’s basically an entire work day’s worth of his new life!

2. We have a while to wait
The series will not premiere until the summer is half over — July 26, to be exact. Season 10 of KUWTK wraps on June 7, so you’ll have a chunk of time with no Kardashian-Jenner hijinks. Netflix time!
3. We won’t see some familiar faces
A source told TMZ that Bruce’s kids, including Kylie, Kendall, Brandon, Brody, Burt and Cassandra will not appear on the series, despite the fact that they all fully support his journey. In fact, Brandon told People, “In seeing him come out to me and explain his true self, I was more proud right then to carry the last name Jenner, to be a part of the family, than at any time before.”
4. It will chronicle a big chunk of Bruce’s transition
While the former Olympian has not revealed what his exact plans are as far as how he intends to live as a female, the series will show Bruce’s new life as an “out” transgendered person and how that revelation changes his day-to-day existence.

5. His reported breast implant surgery may be shown
Bruce supposedly went under the knife for breast implants recently and sources say the cameras were there to capture every emotion. “Filming took place for a few minutes during the surgery, and immediately picked up in the recovery room after it was over,” an insider told Radar Online. “Cameras were also present during post-operative visits to the plastic surgeon. Bruce will have the final approval about what footage will be shown on the docuseries.”
6. He’s got some heavyweights behind him
According to a press release from E!, Jennifer Finney Boylan, national cochair of the board of directors for GLAAD; Dr. Marie Keller, founder and director of the Los Angeles Gender Center; and Susan P. Landon, director of child and adolescent services at the Los Angeles Gender Center, will serve as consultants on the series to ensure the subject matter is treated with the sensitivity it deserves.

7. Bruce has a hefty extra role
In addition to being the featured subject of the series, Bruce is also an executive producer — and he gets the final say in everything that will be shown. “This series will present an unfiltered look as Bruce boldly steps into uncharted territory and is true to himself for the first time,” said Jeff Olde, executive vice president, programming and development for E!, in the press release.
