Tina Knowles’ beautiful letter to her daughters will give you all the feels

Ahead of Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10, Tina Knowles has penned the most beautiful, heartwarming letter about how grateful she is to have such special women in her life.

In the open letter published in Time, Knowles praises her daughters Beyoncé and Solange, close family friend Kelly Rowland and her niece Angie Beyince, all of who she refers to as her daughters.

“Every day, I wake up thinking about how much I love, admire and cherish each of you,” she wrote. “I gave birth to two of you, but I have four incredible daughters. Writing this brought to mind all the ways you guys have been such a blessing to me. When I’m feeling sad or not-so-cute or maybe a little sorry for myself, and you all include me in your group chat and tell me how hot I still look or how cool I am. Maybe you send me a crazy YouTube video. What actually works best is a cute photo of my grandchildren.”

Tina then went on to thank these four women for how they have helped her through the good times and the bad, notably her divorce from Mathew Knowles.

“I remember slumber parties after my divorce, when we watched old movies and ate a lot of ice cream,” she writes. “I felt so loved and supported. The roles were reversed, and it was me who needed nurturing. I remember my first date when every one of you weighed in on what I should wear.”

The touching letter gets even better as it goes on, with Tina praising all of her “daughters” for being such generous, kind people who have so much self-respect.

“You are all strong, beautiful, intelligent and smart businesswomen. You are so much more than that. You are all kind, generous and you treat people well. You are all amazing mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends. All of you have total self-respect,” she gushed.

She also wrote each woman a special little blurb, and honestly, you need to get the tissues ready before you read them (you can read the full letter on Time). It’s a beautiful reminder of just how special a mother and daughter’s relationship can be.
