Could we finally find out whether Katie Hopkins is all talk and no action? She certainly talks a good game but how would she fare if she had to button her mouth, step away from her Twitter account and fight it out in the old-fashioned way?
Her potential sparring partner couldn’t be more appropriate. Feisty Welshwoman Charlotte Church has challenged Hopkins to a charity boxing match following an increasingly heated Twitter exchange.
It all started when Hopkins made fun of Church’s attendance at an anti-austerity march in Cardiff to protest against forthcoming Tory cuts:
@KTHopkins I have no interest in ever conversing with you. You lack humility AND you can't spell. Parasite.

Church appeared to like the idea of going a few rounds with Hopkins in the ring:
@TeeJay2201 I'd relish to opportunity to lawfully smash her face in. #i'dtrainhard #likearockymontage#foreveryone

@KTHopkins Fancy a charity boxing match?

Hopkins didn’t give a definite response but carried on goading Church on Twitter:

And took time out to poke fun at herself:

Church’s suggestion has been picked up by boxing channel BoxNation who have come forward to offer a charity donation of £100,000 if the match goes ahead. BoxNation would also provide a venue and ensure both women receive all the training they need to prepare themselves for the match.
“We look forward to facilitating this showdown,” said BoxNation managing director Jim McMunn. “Boxing is the ultimate one on one. Twitter and social media becomes a cowardly nonsense.”
