During a guest-hosting spot onThe View on Wednesday, May 13, the former Cosby Show actress once again landed herself in hot water, this time for her objections to Harriet Tubman’s face being on the $20 bill — which is part of Women on 20s’ mission to get a female face on the bill — and her opinion is not winning her any friends.
“No offense to everyone that’s going to be mad at me for saying this, I don’t like that idea. I think we need to move a little bit forward. Let me just preface that I understand the history, I get it. Trust me, I was taught, I was in that culture. … I would’ve chosen Rosa Parks,” she said of the civil rights activist Parks.

She continued, “I would have chosen someone that is closer to the progression that we’re doing now. I know you have to understand history so you don’t repeat it, but that doesn’t happen in our world, because we still repeat history of hating other cultures over and over again. I would choose a different woman, no offense.”
Well, Raven-Symoné may not have intended any offense, but she has caused plenty. Hordes of people have taken to Twitter to express their disdain for her comments and even offer her a little history lesson.
