The Bachelor alums band together to support Kaitlyn’s on-show sex

Season 11 of The Bachelorette is already causing a lot of controversy. First, there was Drunk Ryan, who offended everyone with his drunken antics and his highly inappropriate rape comment, followed by the uproar the show’s leading lady, Kaitlyn Bristowe, caused after she revealed she’d had sex with a suitor.

While there are many people who are not pleased with Bristowe’s bedroom activities, she does have some people on her side, and they happen to be The Bachelor alums. During an interview with Us Weekly on Wednesday, AshLee Frazier (who competed on Sean Lowe’s The Bachelor Season 17) voiced her support for Bristowe.

“Minus maybe Sean and maybe another Bachelor or two, I think they all have sex,” Frazier told the publication. “They don’t [talk about it], and I don’t know why. I saw not too long ago with Bob Guiney, and he was a playboy out of all of them. I don’t know why they don’t talk about it. I mean, people have sex. It’s a natural thing. Why is it so faux pas? I don’t know.” [sic]

“Yeah, I don’t think that’s fair,” Frazier said of the backlash that Bristowe has been facing — and she’s not the only one who doesn’t think it’s fair.

Bachelor alum Erica Rose (who was on the ninth season of the show) also shared her views on the topic, saying how she thinks the show has changed since she competed on it.

“That’s one way the show’s definitely changed… When I was on it, no one even talked about [sex] and now they do and it’s just becoming a lot more open,” she revealed. “It’s good that they talk about it. In real life, people have sex all the time, and it should be talked about.

“I think people just shouldn’t be such prudes, honestly,” she added. “People have sex before they’re married. Like, everyone does it.”

And The Bachelor‘s Season 16 Courtney Robertson, who had her own steamy encounter during her time on the show, has nothing but praise for Bristowe.

“For me personally, I’m like, you go girl!” Robertson said. “If I was dating somebody for two months and might get engaged to him and you are in the moment… I talk about living in the moment and it’s kind of hard to do that during the show. You have a film crew and producers all watching you, so I give it to her for going after it and indulging a little bit.”
