B.B. King’s daughters make a shocking accusation about their dad’s death

Two daughters of B.B. King allege that there was nothing natural about their father’s death, and they are pointing fingers at two people close to the legend.

Karen Williams and Patty King have filed affidavits stating they believe King’s business manager, LaVerne Toney, murdered him with the help of his personal assistant.

“I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administrated foreign substances to induce his premature death,” the sisters wrote in separate but identical statements to the court. “[I] request a formal investigation into this matter.”

But according to attorney Brent Bryson, three doctors made sure that King was well cared for and he received 24-hour monitoring and medical care until he died.

“I hope they have a factual basis that they can demonstrate for their defamatory and libelous allegations,” Bryson said in a statement. “This is extremely disrespectful to B.B. King. He did not want invasive medical procedures. He made the decision to return home for hospice care instead of staying in a hospital. These unfounded allegations have caused Mr. King to undergo an autopsy, which is exactly what he didn’t want.”

Police in Las Vegas are investigating the claims but have not provided any further details. The coroner’s office confirmed an autopsy was performed, but test results could take up to eight weeks.

“At this point, we don’t have evidence that these allegations of foul play will be substantiated,” said Clark County coroner John Fudenberg in a statement Monday. “However, we are taking them very seriously and will be conducting a thorough investigation. We are coordinating our investigative efforts with the Homicide Division of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. I expect the investigation will take a minimum of six to eight weeks.”
