The Bachelorette pushed the limits too far with offensive gay promo (VIDEO)

This season of The Bachelorette is clearly trying to break down all kinds of barriers… including those between the guys.

At least, that’s how it looks in a new promo video obtained by E! News.

“Falling in love with a man never crossed my mind,” Clint tells the camera. Um, what?!

We all know that love is love, and we’re not going to discourage what appears to be a blossoming romance between Clint and JJ, the man Amy Schumer called “a turd” on last night’s episode. But we do have to say, on a show where everyone’s supposed to be vying for the lady’s affections, we didn’t see this coming.

OK, maybe we should have seen it coming — after all, that drawing Clint gave Kaitlyn on the first night of Chris Harrison riding a triceratops may have been a sign that Clint was more into the dudes on The Bachelorette.

But come on, Clint. We’re all for some dude-on-dude true love this season, but you can definitely do better than JJ. As anyone who watched last night’s episode knows, JJ doesn’t care one bit about the other guys if they’re going to get in the way of him spending time with Kaitlyn. If being named this season’s villain is what it takes to show Kaitlyn what “husband material” looks like, JJ is all for it.

But as far as Clint is concerned, JJ is where it’s at. The other guys seem to be noticing, too, as they point out on the promo, “Clint and JJ are so into each other.”

Clint adds, “We’ve gotten very close in the shower,” and we don’t really know what he means by that, but if the promo was supposed to get us pumped to watch next week’s episode, it sure did its job.
