Nothing is out of the reach of comedy and when Amy Schumer gets her hands on a topic, you know you are going to get a hard dose of reality wrapped in a comedic sandwich.
After tackling some ridiculous double standards surrounding things such as birth control and wearing makeup, Schumer took on the Cosby sexual assault scandal. Something she has been talking about wanting to do for quite some time.
And she said it wasn’t an easy sell to the writers on the show. She said, “I think we probably talked about this scene more than any other scene we’ve done.”

In the skit, Schumer is seen taking the place of the defense in the fictional “Court of Public Opinion.”
After doing a Cosby-style shimmy up to the jury box, where she tries to show the jury how ridiculous it would be to think of Dr. Huxtable as a rapist, she said, “If convicted, the next time you put on a rerun of The Cosby Show, you may wince a little, might feel a little pang. We don’t deserve to feel that pang. We deserve to dance like no one’s watching and watch like no one’s raping.”
Then she proceeds to hand out pudding pops and ugly “Cosby” sweaters while the prosecution’s “lawyer” loses her mind.
