Bruce Jenner has responded to a lawsuit in which the stepchildren of the woman who died in that horrific car crash are asking for bank — and he basically says they are ridiculous.
The former Olympian filed papers to have the case thrown out of court, stating that William Howe and Dana Redmond were “not financially dependent upon the decedent for the necessities of life” and, therefore, do not have any kind of standing to sue for damages.
Jenner’s assertion seems to be backed up by sources close to the victim, Kim Howe, who said she had no relationship with the stepchildren after their father died years ago. Her entire estate was left to various charities, not them, which speaks volumes about the relationship — or lack thereof.

No charges have been brought against Jenner in the crash, although it does appear he was at fault. A video shows he just wasn’t paying attention for a quick second when he rear-ended Howe, but he was obeying all traffic laws.
After the accident, Jenner released a carefully worded statement expressing sympathy for Howe’s death while not admitting any guilt.
“My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident,” he said. “It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time.
“I am praying for them,” he continued. “I will continue to cooperate in every way possible.”
