The Duggar family’s pastor makes shocking comments about Caitlyn Jenner

There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding the Duggar family since Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal resurfaced, but his pastor, Dr. Ronnie Floyd, believes that he can be forgiven. However, Floyd is not so open-minded when it comes to other people, because he believes Caitlyn Jenner‘s transformation is “sad.”

During a bombshell Sunday sermon, which was recorded, Floyd, who heads the Pinnacle Cross Church in Arkansas, made some shocking claims about Jenner and how she should no longer be considered an American hero, the New York Daily News reports.

The publication reports that Floyd claimed God made two genders and there should be no exception to that.

“Gender is not fluid. God made you male or female. There’s no fluidity to that,” he said.

While the reactions to Caitlyn’s transition have been overwhelming positive, Floyd reportedly referred to it as “sad,” before going on to express his point of view. “But let me tell you what else is sad: the comments from the American culture. Comments like, ‘Once a champion, always a champion.’ Comments like, ‘An American hero once again.'”

He continued, “No such thing as gender neutral. No such thing as unisex. Couples, you raise your girls to be girls. Don’t raise them to be anything else other than girls. If they’re decreed by God to be a girl, then they need to be girls.”

Floyd has a very black-and-white stance on gender, but he seems to think that there is a gray area when it comes to molestation. According to People magazine, Floyd addressed Josh Duggar’s allegations, saying that God “can forgive everything.”

“Everyone does wrong, and what was wrong was very wrong as to what was testified to, and it’s completely unacceptable,” Floyd told People. “But I’m thankful, whether it’s him or any other one, that I serve a God who can forgive everything.”
