Rick Ross and his bodyguard arrested on kidnapping charges

Things are not looking good for rapper Rick Ross.

In a story that is currently breaking and with details still emerging, we are being told that rapper Rick Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts, is behind bars for the second time in recent weeks.

This time, it is for something way worse than just simple possession.

TMZ is reporting that U.S. Marshals arrested Ross on early Wednesday morning and that he has been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

According to law enforcement, the “Hustlin'” rapper was involved in an incident two weeks ago with a man doing work on his house. This same source told TMZ that the assault charges stem from a pistol-whipping incident, and the kidnapping charge comes from this same man trying to leave the rapper’s house and Ross and his bodyguard not allowing it.

All of this must have happened around the same time as his previous arrest, which was also two weeks ago when Ross was busted for misdemeanor possession of marijuana during a traffic stop.

Ross was arrested at his home in Fayette County, Georgia. Also arrested with him was one of his bodyguards.

This is just the latest in a long history of arrests and legal troubles.

The story is developing.

UPDATE 9:25 a.m. PST: According to TMZ, Ross was denied bail and will remain behind bars until his next court hearing on July 1. As for the pistol-whipping, TMZ also reports that Ross damaged the groundskeeper’s jaw and chipped two of his teeth. The groundskeeper is reportedly on a liquid diet.
