Katy Perry is at war with two nuns

Katy Perry has moved on from her battle with Taylor Swift to having beef with a surprising group of people.

Perry is looking to purchase a historic convent in Los Feliz, California, but the nuns aren’t having it.

Us Weekly obtained some pretty surprising documents that explain two of the five nuns who occupy the convent are arguing that the property is legally theirs to sell. Sister Rita Callanan and Sister Catherine Rose sold the property to a restaurateur named Dana Hollister for $15.5 million. Meanwhile, Archbishop Jose Gomez thinks he has the rights the property and has been negotiating with the pop star for an estimated $14.5 million to make the place hers.

Perry even tried to close the deal by visiting the nuns, but no dice.

According to Us, Sister Rita didn’t have anything nice to say. “Well, I found Katy Perry and I found her videos and… if it’s all right to say, I wasn’t happy with any of it. We have given many years to this archdiocese and we have served them well. For the archdioceses to… put us under a bus and run over us, I’m sorry, it was just too much for me.”

The documents also reveal that Gomez is suing Hollister in order to void her purchase of the property, while Perry has been allowed by the courts to visit the convent, which she did with an architect by her side.

I guess the bible says “love thy neighbor,” but it doesn’t say “love thy seller or buyer.”

Either way, it looks like Perry might win this battle even if Sister Rita doesn’t approve.

What do you think Perry plans on doing with the historic convent if she’s able to close the deal?
