Caitlyn Jenner’s son Brody opens up about his relationship with her

Caitlyn Jenner‘s relationships with her non-Kardashian kids are improving, now that she is free to be her authentic self.

Caitlyn’s relationship with her children from her two marriages before Kris Jenner was strained for years, but now that she has transitioned into life as a woman, there has been a marked improvement.

“I’ve known Bruce for a long time and I didn’t really get along with Bruce,” Brody Jenner told E! News. “Caitlyn and I get along a little more, because Caitlyn is actually who she really is and she’s living her life finally now as the person she actually was.”

“Caitlyn is a much freer, happier person and I think that’s very special,” he added. “I think that the most important thing is that people who are in that situation, don’t be afraid to be yourself. Be yourself. And if you’re not accepted by your family, there will be people who will accept you.”

Brody also explained to Extra, “Bruce and I never had the greatest relationship growing up, but Caitlyn has been really fun to be around. Caitlyn is more free, Caitlyn is herself; she’s finally being able to be the person that she always was.”

“I’m not gonna sit here and say that it was the easiest thing in the world; it opened my eyes to a lot of different things – to be open, and be understanding. Everybody’s going through their own little struggles, and you got to be open and you got to just accept.”

His new show, Sex With Brody, premieres on E! on July 10.
