As most fans know by now, Pretty Little Liars will undergo a major time jump in the second half of Season 6. With the series summer finale quickly approaching, we’re predicting what might happen when the show skips several years forward.

As showrunner Marlene King has confirmed, Season 6 will be broken into two 10-episode batches. The first half, which is currently airing, will wrap up this summer and will (finally) conclude the mystery of A. After a two-week hiatus, Season 6B will then begin four years in the future, after the Liars’ college years.
As always, King and the rest of the PLL crew have been pretty tight-lipped about what will happen after the flash-forward, but that isn’t stopping us from making some guesses. Here are four major things we might see on PLL after the time jump:

1. At least one engagement (and maybe even a wedding)
King has all but confirmed that at least one, if not more, of the Liars will be close to walking down the aisle after the time jump. As she told ET Online of a potential wedding,“Oh it’s possible! It’s possible. There are some engagement rings flying around when we come back for the premiere.”
While that definitely sounds like more than one of the girls will be engaged after the time jump, the question is, which ones? If I had to bet, I would guess Hanna (Ashley Benson) would be one of them. Not only will she and Caleb have been dating for several years by that point (presuming they stay together), but Benson also snapped the above photo of herself wearing what looks like a prop engagement ring while on set. I hear wedding bells!

2. New career paths
As TVLine confirmed, two new male characters will be joining the show in the second half of Season 6: Jordan, a 27-year-old working in the fashion industry and Liam, a 24-year-old editorial assistant from Boston. With the girls having just graduated from college, it stands to reason these two new additions hint at some of the girls’ new professional paths. Since Aria is the writer of the group, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her working in publishing alongside Liam while Hanna brought her killer sense of style to the fashion world with Jordan.
Another possibility? With Aria showing more of an interest in photography this season, there’s also the chance that she’s the one working in fashion. That would leave Spencer the most likely candidate for a publishing gig.

3. New love interests
While some of the Liars may be engaged to their longtime loves, it’s probably safe to say that not all the girls will remain with their high-school sweethearts. It might be hard for fans to imagine, since viewers have gotten attached to Spoby, Ezria, Paily, and Haleb, but it seems this season is already paving the way for new relationships. Ezra and Aria haven’t been romantically involved this season and Emily hasn’t had a serious love interest since Paige left (although she is getting closer to Sara Harvey these days).

4. Major A aftermath
We already know that the first half of the season will end with a finale called “Game Over, Charles” — obviously implying that Charles’ reign as A will come to an end sooner rather than later. But that doesn’t mean that the girls’ troubles are over. After all, this is PLL we’re talking about. In the second half of the season, after the time jump, the girls will likely still be dealing with the aftermath of all they’ve been through (and they’ve been through of a lot).
As for the possibility of a new antagonist, King has refused to confirm or deny it. But like we said, this is PLL, so we can’t rule anything out. Either way, there will no shortage of drama. As King told ETOnline, the characters will be “getting to be more grown-up, and getting to make more grown-up mistakes, and grown-up decisions.”
