Kourtney Kardashian kicks Scott to the curb: Is a custody war next?

While celebrating America’s freedom, Kourtney Kardashian also officially declared her freedom from longtime boyfriend Scott Disick.

For whatever reason, I had always hoped and pulled for their often-rocky relationship to get back on track, for Disick to get his act together. But it looks like this one might be finally lost off the cliff for good.

According to reports published by TMZ, Kardashian has officially pulled the plug on the relationship over Disick’s partying antics and womanizing. TMZ claims its “well-placed sources” say that the father of the couple’s three children hasn’t been to their Calabasa home in over a month.

Another source says Kourtney “has to do what’s best for the kids” now that the kids are getting older.

Disick, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to be taking that into much consideration these days, getting handsy in Monte Carlo over the holiday weekend with celebrity stylist Chloe Bartoli. He has even been running around telling people he is “newly single” while Kourtney has been left to take care of not only their two older children, Mason, 5, and daughter Penelope, but also the newest addition to their family, Reign, who is just 6 months old.

The tabloid’s insider said, “Kourtney is putting on a brave face, but she is over it. She’s fed up. It’s humiliating and disrespectful. How much more is she supposed to take?”

Their relationship problems have been well documented over the years, as have Disick’s various battles with addictions and “issues,” for which he has on several occasions entered rehab. As recently as this past March, Disick entered a rehabilitation facility in Costa Rica, only to return to California a few weeks later.

The explosive couple has been together since 2006, and now that things seem to be officially over, the most obvious question becomes, what will Kourtney do about allowing her children to see their father?

An insider told Us Weekly, “When he’s sober, he’s actually a great dad.” But according to many sources, Disick has been hanging out with friends who Kourtney thinks are a bad influence and who are enabling and encouraging his destructive partying habits.

With some insiders claiming the gauntlet has been thrown down and others saying they’ve seen this before from the hot-and-cold couple, we will have to wait and see if Kardashian forgives her bad-boy boyfriend or if this will really, finally be it.

Of course, that also begs the question: If an epic custody battle breaks out… will it be on the show?
