RHOBH has its eye on a pop star’s mom as its newest cast member

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills could be welcoming the mother of a pop star into its midst.

Angie Simpson could be the next Real Housewife of Beverly Hills. E! Online reports the mother of pop star Cody Simpson is in talks to join the show’s lineup, and if she does, that would lead to her sharing screen time with Cody’s ex’s mom, Yolanda Foster (her daughter, Gigi Hadid, and Cody split in May 2015). Would the two moms get along or would their kids’ past relationship send them on a one-way ticket to awkward town?

Of course, the question on every Cody fan’s mind is will he appear on RHOBH if his mom joins the cast? It seems likely he would end up dropping by occasionally to hang with his mom. Cody’s presence, however brief, could add some much-needed star power to the show.

The news of Angie’s talks with Bravo come as RHOBH faces an uncertain future in Season 6. The cast could be full of shake-ups. It has already been confirmed Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards will not be returning full-time. Additionally, Yolanda may not be able to film the full season as she battles Lyme disease, and Season 5 newcomers Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna have not been confirmed for the new season. Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump have not officially announced their returns either.

That is a lot of uncertainty for the Beverly Hills chapter of The Real Housewives. Officially signing Angie would be a great first step for Bravo in terms of beginning to firm up the Season 6 lineup. Would you like to see the pop star’s mom join the cast — even if it’s only because you would love to catch a glimpse of Cody?
