The Duggar family has been mostly silent since Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal came to light, but they’ve now posted a home video to their YouTube channel, in which they can be seen wishing Jill and Derick all the best in their latest endeavor.

The mom-of-one and her hubby are leaving U.S. soil to go overseas (to a currently undisclosed location) to become missionaries — which is something that is close to both of their hearts.

The video, which Josh is glaringly absent from, was shot at the base of their stairs in the Duggar family home, and it begins with the family patriarch, Jim Bob, telling the young couple that the family is “so excited about you guys going overseas to be missionaries.”

“And I know this is something that has been in both ya’lls hearts for years, and the Lord brought you together for this special time to go impact the work of Christ,” he continues. “We’re going to miss y’all, we’re going to miss little baby Israel, but we know that this is God’s plan for your life.”

The family then engages in prayer, after which Jill says goodbye to her parents and siblings, and things get really emotional. You can see Jill and some of her older sisters exchanging tearful goodbyes and long hugs before the family gets ready to head to the airport.

The Duggar family might be one of the most controversial families in the public eye, but there is no denying their love for one another, and Jill will surely be missed by her kin.
