Giuliana Rancic’s leaving E! News to focus on three other projects

Giuliana Rancic is saying goodbye to the news program that made her famous, but she still has plenty of projects to keep her busy.

Rancic has been reporting on Hollywood’s biggest stars for E! News for more than a decade. Now the E! News mainstay will be stepping down at the end of the summer to focus on other projects.

Rancic will still co-host Fashion Police and Live From the Red Carpet, but it still feels like the end of an era for E!. She will be present on the network, but she won’t be on hand to give everyone the scoop on their favorite stars.

It’s time for Rancic to focus on new adventures, though. Staying put on Fashion Police (a show where she stirred up controversy over her remarks on Zendaya’s hairstyle earlier this year) and continuing the red carpet coverage are no coincidence. Both moves tie into Rancic’s plans to focus her attention on her fashion line while maintaining her position as a voice in the fashion world via her star commentary.

In addition to her hosting duties, red carpet work and fashion line, Rancic will also be rolling out a new show on Oxygen, Rich in Faith, and taking her wine line to the next level. With so much going on in her life, it’s no wonder Rancic chose to say goodbye to E! News.

“For more than a decade I was fortunate enough to play a role in the success of ‘E! News’ and will miss my family at the show,” Rancic said in a statement. “At the same time, I am excited to not only continue as host of two major franchises on E! but also executive produce the aspirational new show Rich in Faith for Oxygen as well as take my wine and clothing lines to the next level.”
