According to TVLine, Parenthood alum Peter Krause has just signed on to star in the drama opposite Mireille Enos. The Catch, which is set to premiere at midseason, will star Enos as Alice Vaughan, a successful fraud investigator who falls victim herself to fraud by her fiancé. Between her cases, she goes on a mission to track him down before he ruins her career and her life.

Krause will play the sleazy fiancé, Kieran Booth, a successful, longtime con-man who lives a good life with other people’s money. The role was originally played by NCIS‘ Damon Dayoub in the pilot, but producers announced the villainous part would be recast back in May. Now, it looks like they’ve officially found their new bad guy.

Needless to say, the news is only making us that much more excited for The Catch‘s premiere. Krause was a fan favorite on Parenthood (which marked his latest major TV role), and he also earned critical acclaim for his gig on Six Feet Under. There’s no doubt that he’ll be just as amazing on this new show — especially since he’ll be paired with a vet like Rhimes.

With a talented duo like Krause and Enos in the lead and the twisty suspense that Rhimes always brings to the table, it’s obvious that viewers are in for quite the ride in The Catch. Now, all that’s left to do is (impatiently) wait for #TGIT to finally return.
