While Bill Cosby supporters have been dropping like flies over the multiple rape allegations against him, Whoopi Goldberg has remained in his corner. But she might finally be changing her mind about his innocence.

On Tuesday, the Sister Act actress sat down on The View with ABC News’ chief legal analyst, Dan Abrams, to discuss the allegations against Cosby — and the backlash that she has been receiving for supporting him.
“I’ve been taking a lot of heat for various reasons,” Goldberg revealed.
But she’s no longer Cosby’s champion, because she appears to have had a change of heart about his innocence.

“If this is to be tried in the court of public opinion, I got to say all of the information that’s out there kind of points to guilt,” Goldberg confessed.
Cosby has been accused of sexual assault by more than 25 women, spanning over a time period of four decades and, in most of the cases, the civil and criminal statutes of limitations have expired.
Goldberg shared her thoughts on these allegations, saying that she never understood that there was legally “no way for him to go to jail.”

“You have a serial rapist, he’s been on the streets for 30 years, and I thought that yeah, ‘Here’s all the information, take his ass to jail.'” She explained. “I find out from you that that’s not always possible, so I can’t say anymore ‘innocent until proven guilty’ because there’s no way to prove it. We are the only way to prove it; we are the only backup they have.”
And Goldberg’s parting comments about the disgraced comedian hit hard.
She said, “It looks bad, Bill. Either speak up or shut up, ’cause people know now there’s a lot more out there than they thought.'”
