While we obsess over Kate Middleton‘s fashion and her sense of grace and poise, the Queen is dubbing her the “Duchess of Do-Little.”
According to Life & Style, the Duchess of Cambridge has made quite the negative impact on Queen Elizabeth lately for opting out of some of her royal duties.

Sources report that tensions between Middleton and her royal in-laws are at an all-time high after Middleton didn’t attend a meet-and-greet with the country’s veterans but had time to host Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at Kensington Palace.
Palace sources confirmed that Middleton was not in attendance at the July 10 luncheon honoring World War II pilots, though Prince William and other royals did take time to be there.
The luncheon even took place just two days after Wimbledon, where the duchess made a courtside appearance, and two weeks after she hosted the Pitt-Jolie clan.

The Queen reportedly doesn’t think there’s any excuse for Middleton to opt out of duties like the luncheon, especially when it involved the country’s veterans.
“Kate is getting a bit of a reputation for ducking out of royal duties,” one insider explained to Life & Style. “That’s where her nicknames ‘Duchess of Do-Little’ and ‘Lazy Katie’ come from. If you can’t find time to pay tribute to some old men who saved your country, what message does that convey?”
And though the Queen might not have come up with the title “Duchess of Do-Little,” she’s also been caught using the nickname when she was tired one day and irritated with her granddaughter-in-law.
“She comes from a different generation and has a sense of duty above all else,” the insider explained.

Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell added, “Relations between royals and nonroyals have always been awkward and tense. Marrying into the family firm is not easy.”
It’s also important to note that Middleton just had her second child, Princess Charlotte, on May 2. That could also factor into why she is reluctant to attend a multitude of events.
