Scott Disick‘s partying ways haven’t just ended his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. They’ve also affected his kids in a big way.
According to Radar Online, Disick has been in contact with his three children — Mason, 5, Penelope, 3, and Reign, 7 months — via telephone.

“Mason was asking for ‘his daddy’ and Kourtney knew that this is something she was going to have to get used to, so of course she complied,” a source, who is reportedly close to the Kardashian clan, revealed to the outlet.
“Kourtney helped to facilitate a call between Scott and his son Mason and daughter Penelope,” the source continued.
Disick has been off on a partying streak that successfully ended his relationship after he was caught getting too close with his ex Chloe Bartoli over the Fourth of July weekend. It was most recently reported that he is now in Florida, partying with underaged girls.

“It has been slightly heartbreaking for both Mason and Penelope as they have both been asking where their father is,” the source added. “They definitely notice that he is absent in their lives right now, and Kourtney must learn to find a way to allow him to have access to the children while at the same time maintaining her stance.”
And though it’s been unclear as of now how the two will handle parenting moving forward, the source seems to think that Disick is checking out for good. “Her family has advised her to tell the kids straight up that Daddy is not coming back.”

But we think it’s unlikely that Disick gets to opt out of his parenting duties so easily. Sure, he needs to get himself some help back in rehab and get back on the right path, but if he does all of that, there’s no reason why he couldn’t still be a presence in the kids’ lives.
