The Bachelorette‘s Britt Nilsson and Brady Toops are speaking out about what led to their relationship’s quick demise.
The once upon a time couple spoke with People about what went wrong, revealing that they actually only dated for a few weeks before she called the relationship off.

“Everything on paper was perfect,” Nilsson explained. “But we didn’t have that connection I was looking for. That was a hard conclusion.”
Nilsson revealed that their personalities just, ultimately, didn’t complement one another. “He’s more of an introvert and I’m an extrovert. I’m just more loud and outgoing and I’m always on the go. Brady’s a little bit more meditative. We weren’t fed by the same things.”
And while Nilsson describes the relationship as a “whirlwind,” Toops still seems to be trying to recover.

“What I felt for Britt was true and deep. I’m sad it didn’t work out,” he said.
Toops left The Bachelorette at the beginning of the season after Nilsson lost out on the chance to hand out the roses to Kaitlyn Bristowe. But Toops wasn’t interested in any other girl and went after her in hopes of something blossoming between he and his “crush.”
And, while The Bachelorette played out, ABC also gave us a sneak peek into Britt and Brady’s relationship, which seemed to be picture perfect for the two.
“Brady stayed in LA for two weeks, we saw each other all day every day,” Britt explained. “At the beginning, I was like, ‘This is it. This is my guy.’ He checked off everything on my checklist.”

But it was Britt’s trip to Brady’s city of Nashville, Tennessee, that made her realize things between them could never work out because of their personality differences.
The two have actually already been broken up for about two months, even though we just saw their love playing out on television.
Despite everything, Brady has nothing but kind things to say about Britt. “I want to see Britt happy. I want to see her find the sort of love she longs for.”
