A lot has been happening in the Duggar household lately: 19 Kids and Counting was canceled, Anna and Josh Duggar are parents for the fourth time and Jill and Derick Dillard have left U.S. soil for a new adventure — and it’s going pretty well.

Jill Duggar and her husband took to their Dillard Family blog over the weekend to update fans on their mission location and how their newborn son, Israel, is adapting to his new home.
“We are so excited to announce that we have safely arrived on the mission field and we can now tell you that we are in Central America!” the couple’s blog post reads.
Traveling with an infant is not easy, but luckily for Jill and Derick, baby Israel “seems to be adjusting to the new climate, culture, food (via mom’s milk), and language faster than Jill and I are.”

But not only is he adapting well, the 3-month-old tot is apparently also already the talk of the town and has been making quite the impression on the locals.
“In fact, he has been the talk of the town. Everywhere we go, people here [sic] about and want to see and hold the, “big blue-eyed, white baby” LOL. Israel is definitely growing and developing fast. It has also been wonderful to make contact and talk briefly with family back in the US to share updates,” the blog post reads.
The couple also got a little emotional as they went on to express their gratitude to “God and all our prayer and financial partners.”

They continued, “We cannot express enough gratitude for the ways God has been working through so many of you to make this transition for our family as smooth as possible. God has used you all to bless us and to make our vision a reality for those who have yet to put their faith in Jesus Christ, who is our only hope for salvation.”
