Baby bump alert!
Bristol Palin has posted her first selfie sporting her hard-to-see baby bump while celebrating a work anniversary. And while most pregnant women garner ooohs and aaahs over their growing bellies, Palin got hate. She captioned the photo, “Celebrated six years working for the best people I know. This place is my home (I actually have a job #shocker).”

Aside form the conservative shade, I see nothing wrong with this pic.
Palin confirmed she was expecting her second child in June, saying, “I know this has been, and will be a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you. But please respect Tripp’s and my privacy during this time.” She also later posted, “I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy.”
And while she claims the pregnancy was planned, its announcement came weeks after canceling her wedding days before it was supposed to take place and after years of being an advocate for abstinence only, so it is fair to say that she has been a little on the defensive since she made her big announcement.

She also said, “Everyone knows I wanted more kids… believing I was headed that way, I got ahead of myself. Things didn’t go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on.”
So even though the 24-year-old has set the record straight, folks still seem to want to make sure she knows they think she messed up and put their hate and condemnation of her most recent pregnancy out there.
While most of the comments on the photo on her Instagram account are positive, the comments from other places, like Us Weekly, are not too nice.
Highlights include comments like, “Two kids with two different baby daddies??? She better not open her wide mouth and criticize others from now on.” Another comment reads, “Hypocritical and revolting woman.”
Many commenters are quick to point out the hypocrisy of asking for privacy and then posting baby bump selfies.
And while what they are saying does have some merit, she is still allowed to be proud of her growing belly, just like every other pregnant woman. Baby bump pics are almost mandatory for expectant mothers; there was no way she wasn’t going to show hers off, no matter the circumstances.
