The Duggars apparently still are heartbroken over the cancellation of their TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting.

A source who apparently works closely with the family spoke with People, explaining, “The Duggars want to return to TV because they truly believe it was part of God’s plan for them to spread the word about their faith.”
The source added that the evangelical Christian family is, “heartbroken that they’ve now lost that platform,” which they used often to discuss their religious beliefs.
Following news that the oldest Duggar son, Josh, had molested five young girls, among them his own sisters, when he was 14 years old, TLC pulled all scheduled 19 Kids and Counting programming off the air.

Two months after the report, after news of the molestation scandal continued to get more and more heated, TLC finally pulled the plug on the show entirely and announced it was canceling the series.
“I think Jim Bob and Michelle [Duggar] honestly did expect people to just move on from this,” People‘s source continued. “Their thinking is, they put this behind them ages ago, so why wouldn’t the rest of the world?”
And while we think TLC was correct to cancel the show, this definitely doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of the Duggars. There is always the potential that another network will agree to work with the family. Or certain members of the family could be invited back to TLC for special programs.

Meanwhile, while the Duggars mourn the loss of their show, they also have a lot to celebrate. Jim Bob and Michelle have now been married for 31 years, and the couple paid homage to the day with a throwback photo that surprised fans.
