The news about Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert‘s split continues to break our hearts.
And now, new reports are saying that it wasn’t the drinking or the cheating that ultimately ended the country duo’s marriage, but Shelton’s commitment to The Voice.

TMZ reports that their sources are saying Shelton was gone about 8 months out of the year because he was busy filming in Los Angeles — a city Lambert apparently hates. Instead, Lambert prefers to spend her time at their Oklahoma home. The two also have a house in Nashville.
And though she would visit Shelton in Los Angeles during his filming stints, she still felt like an “abandoned wife,” according to the outlet, because Shelton would rarely reciprocate by visiting Oklahoma.
She ultimately said, “This is no way to live,” according to sources, and decided to pull the plug on the marriage.

In the midst of this new claim that Lambert felt abandoned, each side is accusing the other of infidelity throughout their four-year marriage, according to sources.
Though publicly the couple released a joint statement saying, “This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately,” behind closed doors, the mud is said to be flying between the two.
Not only are they reportedly accusing each other of being unfaithful, but according to sources, Shelton also ordered Lambert to clear her exotic animals off his Oklahoma ranch as soon as the divorce was made official.

Unfortunately, no matter which rumors are true, it seems like this is a couple that won’t be able to remain friends.
