Going to prison might wind up being the most financially lucrative move Teresa Giudice has ever made, to the tune of more money many people will see in their entire lifetimes.
The The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is going to be raking in the cash next year, reportedly signing a deal for a $1 million paycheck to return to the show after she finishes her 15-month prison sentence.
But that doesn’t mean Giudice will pocket all that money. She still owes $214,588.90 in restitution from her fraud and bankruptcy cases, and as part of her sentence, she agreed that Bravo could garnish her wages by 25 percent when she returns to the airwaves.

While Giudice isn’t scheduled for release until February 2016, her attorney has said he believes she will be released in time to spend Christmas with her family. The new season of RHONJ begins filming in the fall.
This mega-deal might end up costing Bravo more than it bargained for, though. The other housewives are allegedly now demanding pay equal to Giudice’s, and one source says they are “disgusted that Teresa is getting such a huge paycheck, especially since she is a convicted felon!”
“It sends a very bad message to their fans that crime does indeed pay,” a source told Radar Online.
“Teresa’s sister-in-law, Melissa, is demanding a significant raise and wants to be paid $1 million, too. Dina Manzo is also seeking a bump in pay.”
But Bravo won’t be the star’s only source of income. A memoir based on her prison diaries is in the works, and while we know nothing about who will publish it or what her advance might be, she did get a $250,000 advance for her last cookbook.
