In a sneak peek for the new Good Morning America Bachelor reunion show, which will air ahead of The Bachelorette season finale next Monday, Fedotowsky said she doesn’t believe you actually fall in love throughout the Bachelor/ette season.
“I don’t believe you actually completely fall in love on the show, that’s just my theory,” Fedotowsky revealed. “I think you fall in lust… I think that once you choose your final one, then your heart really can fall in love.”
Fedotowsky appear in Jake Pavelka’s season of The Bachelor before becoming The Bachelorette herself for Season 6. At the end of her season, she gave her final rose to Roberto Martinez, who then proposed to her. The two were engaged for 18 months before calling it quits.

And while Fedotowsky clearly doesn’t think current Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe is in love on the show just yet, she did admit that romantic feels “can definitely be with two people,” which is something Bristowe can definitely relate to now that she’s down to her final two men.
The GMA Bachelor reunion special will also feature fellow Bachelors and Bachelorettes Andi Dorfman, Desiree and Chris Siegfried (who just tied the knot in January), Chris Soules, Lacy Faddoul (who just married her Bachelor in Paradise partner Marcus Grodd), Clare Crawley, and Catherine and Sean Lowe (who wed January 2014).
It’ll be interesting to see how those couples who did have success on the show feel about Fedotowsky’s comments that love can’t happen in the few short weeks during filming.
