Bill Cosby got the drugs he admitted to giving women from a very odd source: a doctor you would never imagine him needing to visit.
In a newly released section of transcript from the 2005 sexual assault case brought against him and later settled before going to trial, Cosby discusses how he obtained Quaaludes — and it is pretty much the most bizarre doctor-patient relationship ever.
According to the Washington Post, Cosby said he would visit Hollywood doctor Leroy Amar and say he had back pain in order to obtain the pills. The problem? Amar was a gynecologist.

Cosby said he received seven prescriptions total from Amar, despite the fact that he does not have a vagina.
“Did he know when he gave you those prescriptions that you had no intention of taking them?” a lawyer asked Cosby in the deposition.
“Yes,” Cosby said.

“Did you believe at that time that it was illegal for you to dispense those drugs?” the lawyer asked.
“Yes,” Cosby admitted.
Amar was definitely no saint. His medical license was yanked in 1979 for gross incompetence and negligence after numerous plastic surgeries went very, very wrong, including one woman who was left with a breast implant popping out of her skin when the stitches broke and another implant surgery performed with only a local numbing agent.
