Law & Order director Jason “Jace” Alexander is in hot water after being charged with two felonies.

Police are saying the longtime producer and director, who directed 52 episodes of the hit NBC crime drama, was charged Wednesday with two counts of child porn-related felonies.
Alexander has been charged with “possessing and file-sharing illegal and obscene performances of sexual conduct by children less than 17 years of age,” Westchester County district attorney Janet DiFiore told Us Weekly.

According to the site, Alexander was charged with one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child and one count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child after an investigator traced the download to his home. Reportedly, Alexander downloaded the content July 25. He was arrested July 29.
“A forensic examination of computers and external hard drives removed from the location revealed digital files of children who are less than 16 years of age engaged in child pornography,” the district attorney’s office said in a statement.
Alexander’s bail was set at $10,000. His first court appearance has been scheduled for Nov. 19. If convicted, the charge could come with up to seven years in prison.
