We hope you like Dancing with the Stars veteran Tony Dovolani, mirror ball watchers! The dancer says if it’s up to him, he’d like to take a turn sitting at the judges’ table sometime soon.

People recently caught up with Dovolani and chatted with him about his surprising plans for the future. During a 10th anniversary party for Dance With Me dance studios, Dovolani told the press he’d like to hang up his dancin’ shoes for a while and try his hand at judging everyone else.
“I would love to judge, and I think I would be a great judge,” he said, adding, “Considering I’ve had so many different partners, I know the road that every single one of those partners has taken. It’s not like I’ve always had the ringers.”
Boy, is that the truth. During Dovolani’s time as a professional dancer on she show, he’s worked with some amazing celebrities. They couldn’t all dance, though. At least, not at first. Throughout his Dancing with the Stars career, Dovolani has danced with the likes of Jane Seymour, Stacy Keibler, Melissa Rycroft, Kate Gosselin and many more A and B-list celebs.

Of course, he doesn’t have the most stunning track record, either. Dovolani has only won once — with Melissa Rycroft in Season 15. His next-best season-long performances were in Season 2, with Keibler, and Season 8, also with Rycroft. His worst seasons were when he came in 14th place with Kathy Ireland and 12th with Martina Navratilova. Otherwise, Dovolani averages placing out of the competition somewhere around halfway through. Not the worst averages, but probably not the best, either. Still, we’re not sure that qualifies him to be a judge just yet.
We think Dovolani should stick it out for a little longer and bring up his average a little more first. But we’d definitely love to hear what he has to say someday.
