Kim Zolciak’s teen daughter becomes victim of cruel Internet bullies

It’s one thing for Kim Zolciak to put up with Internet bullies; it’s quite another for her children be subjected to cruel comments.

Not that we think it’s ever OK to attack someone on the Internet, but at least Zolciak knows what she signed up for when she joined the Real Housewives franchise. Being a reality star opens a person up to an array of criticisms and, unfortunately, sometimes fans see the celeb’s offspring as collateral damage. In other words, people feel they can say whatever they want about stars’ kids, without any consequence.

Such was the case on Monday when Zolciak posted an adorable photo of her family on Instagram.

Most of the comments were supportive, ranging from “Beautiful family” to “You should write a parenting book” and “My favorite Brady bunch,” but Zolciak’s feathers were ruffled when some commenters felt it appropriate to comment on the appearance of her 13-year-old daughter, Ariana Biermann.

Several hours after the original post, Zolciak put up a picture solely of Ariana, begging for Instagram users to focus on reacting positively to her photos rather than making judgments on her young daughter’s looks.

“My sweet, smart, motivated princess,” she wrote in the caption for the photo. “She has the biggest (heart) and is even more beautiful on the inside and you LOW LIFE assholes who have the audacity to make your rude comments, ‘she finally lost weight,’ ‘she finally came into her own’ WTF is wrong with you! You are the problem with society. What possesses you to sit behind a computer and write a negative comment?!!!!! Can you imagine if you took the time to write something positive or nothing at all how wonderful this world would be!!! You leave my baby alone she is a child!!!!!”

While calling people names doesn’t exactly make the situation any better, we have to admit Zolciak has a point. It’s completely wrong to write negative things about an innocent child. We’re also in complete agreement that if every person who felt the need to spread hate on the Internet either turned their negativity into positivity or simply said nothing at all, this world would sure be looking a whole lot better.

Zolciak’s been fending off her own bullies on the Internet for quite a while now. Hopefully attacks on her children don’t become a new trend, too.
