10 Lip Sync Battle clips to get us excited about the new U.K. show

Lip Sync Battle, the hit TV show everybody’s talking about, is finally coming to the U.K. And there’s something strangely entertaining (not to mention hilarious) about watching big name stars mime to popular songs.

Digital Spy reported that Channel 5 has commissioned eight 30-minute episodes of the U.S. programme.

The show was originally based on an idea introduced to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon by Stephen Merchant and the format is simple: celebrities go head-to-head, lip-syncing songs of their choice. Think Ru Paul’s Drag Race‘s “Lip Sync for Your Life” — just with less sequins, fake boobs and contouring (in some cases).

While we’re waiting for the show to hit our screens early next year, here’s a taster: 10 of the best clips from the U.S. version.
