Alfonso Ribeiro has the inside scoop on Dancing with the Stars Season 21 casting, and he isn’t afraid to share the deets.
More:Hey, reality TV fans! Here’s what’s coming your way this fall
Ribeiro revealed to E! Online that he’s definitely in the know when it comes to DWTS casting decisions. The Season 19 Mirror Ball Trophy winner is now taking over as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos for Tom Bergeron.
Unfortunately, his inside sneak peek at Season 21 is kind of a letdown. Rumors have been swirling that The Bachelorette‘s Kaitlyn Bristowe and I Am Cait‘s Caitlyn Jenner will be putting on their dancing shoes, but Ribeiro said it’s unlikely.
“I don’t think that’s going to happen,” he told E!, explaining that he’s heard Jenner is “not going to do it.”
Bristowe has said she thinks it’d be fun to go on the show, but her fate on the dancing hit is still up in the air.

If Bristowe isn’t available, then we’re all for runner-up Nick Viall. Anyone else? After all, Dancing with the Stars without a Bachelor/ette contestant just doesn’t seem like DWTS.
But Ribeiro wasn’t done giving the inside scoop just with those two.
He revealed producer Deena Katz called him and “asked me about a few people.”
“She wanted Ricky Schroder,” Ribeiro spilled. And so he contacted him for the show, but his response, according to Ribeiro, wasn’t positive: “‘Eh, I don’t dance!'”
Well, there goes that childhood dream.

So rather than lifting our spirits and filling Season 21 with hope, Ribeiro pretty much just crushed our dreams. No Ricky Schroder and no Caitlyn Jenner? So then, who’s going to be on the show?
Let the waiting game begin. DWTS returns Monday, Sept. 21 on ABC.
