Scott Disick is changing his tune.

Though Kourtney Kardashian‘s ex has been pretty outspoken about not being ready to be a father, now that the two have split, he seems eager to step up to the plate.
A source has reportedly told E! News that the former reality star is eager to mend fences with Kardashian, whatever it takes.
“He’s trying to get his life together and that includes getting his family back,” a source close to the family reportedly told the site. “He’s hoping he and Kourtney can put this behind them. He knows it won’t be easy. At the very least, he wants to be friends again.”
The same source also confirms rumors that Disick has not been handling the split well.
“He can’t believe how quickly this spiraled. He always thought he could keep it together, until he couldn’t,” the insider said. “He knows he has to prove himself to Kourtney. He needs to show her he can be an adult. That’s all she wants. She knows he likes to party, but she wants an adult who will be there for her and the family every day.”

As for the kids? According to this source, Disick is finally ready to be there for them, something he reportedly has fallen short on.
“Scott is adamant that his kids will not grow up without a father,” the source said. “He wants to be there for them.”
Kardashian and Disick split around the Fourth of July, when Disick was photographed with an ex-girlfriend while on a party bender in Monte Carlo. After the breakup was announced, Disick was photographed looking increasingly haggard at club parties in Las Vegas and Canada.
More recently, Disick and Kardashian reunited for a lunch together with two of their kids, 5-year-old Mason and 3-year-old Penelope.
