Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s nanny rumored to have caused divorce

Hollywood’s hottest new trend appears to be nanny-schtupping, and Gavin Rossdale reportedly hopped on that bandwagon right next to Ben Affleck.

Just a week after the downfall of Affleck’s marriage to Jennifer Garner was blamed on an alleged affair with the couple’s young, lithe nanny, the world is desperately seeking an answer — any answer — to explain how a couple so clearly meant to be together forever like Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani could possibly ever break up. That answer is obviously the nanny!

A source told Radar Online that the newest craze in marriage-ending infidelities hit the Rossdale-Stefani household stealthily after the No Doubt singer hired a younger, “very attractive” woman to care for the couple’s three children.

“Gwen loaned her clothes, and was very generous with the younger woman,” the source said. “The nanny was very attractive, but in the beginning, Gwen trusted her and treated her as a younger sister/best friend.”

The nanny would accompany Stefani and the children on the set of The Voice and even joined them on family vacations — until the blonde bombshell became suspicious of what might be going on behind her back.

“Gwen had suspicions that Gavin and the nanny had become romantically involved,” revealed the source. “The constant stress and scrutiny just became unbearable for her.”

Bye-bye, nanny!

“Gwen absolutely fired the nanny,” the source said. “She wasn’t going to have this going on around the kids.”

Another source confirmed the rumor, saying that Stefani was pretty sure schtupping had occurred, despite Rossdale’s denials.

“Gwen is absolutely devastated about the marriage ending, and she has been inconsolable,” the insider told Radar Online. “But she had no other choice. She was very suspicious that Gavin was involved with the nanny.

“Gavin always denied anything inappropriate, but her friends warned her that it seemed like there was something going on.”

Do you have a nanny? If so, you should immediately make sure she is neither younger nor more attractive than you, lest your husband, who is obviously completely incapable of controlling his own impulses and acting like a respectful partner by virtue of having a penis, fall victim to this devastating new trend.

Or, you know, he could always just not be a jerk. He’s probably capable of that.
