Kim Richards has a lot of people in her corner.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alumna has been facing a myriad of legal troubles after she was accused of shoplifting more than 100 items, amounting to over $600 worth of products, from a Target near Los Angeles. She was also reportedly forced by her family to undergo a brief hospitalization, though no sources have been willing to say exactly why she needed medical care.
And now, Richards has another public supporter: former Real Housewives costar Lisa Vanderpump.
The two aren’t filming together anymore and Vanderpump said they haven’t been in touch during Richards’ recent troubles. But she still sends her best wishes to her fellow reality star and said there’s a good reason she hasn’t reached out.

“It’s a shame. I’ve been saddened by that and it’s really not my place to comment on that now,” she told reporters during Bella New York magazine’s annual White Party. “Obviously, she’s a friend and not family but it’s out there… it saddens me to see her going in this direction.”
She continued, “I think she has really good support but now her support needs to really step in and something needs to be done.”
As for why she hasn’t yet reached out to Richards, Vanderpump said she remains in “constant contact” with Richards’ sister and costar, Kyle Richards, but that she doesn’t consider it her place to impose.
“I haven’t [reached out] because I feel there are people a lot closer to her than I am,” Vanderpump said. “I send her well wishes and hope she’s OK.”
Richards is set to have her first court appearance later this month.
