If you wanted definitive proof Kim Kardashian is not faking her pregnancy, look no further.
I love a good conspiracy theory, so I was basically driving the bus on the Kim K is faking her pregnancy wagon, more because I like to be a contrarian than I just didn’t believe her. But with one photo, she turned me into a believer.
It wasn’t just the photo, though, that made me believe she is actually carrying her own child. The naked selfie’s (long) caption that accompanied it rang so very true in the sea of promotional, commercial posts usually put up on her Instagram. There is a way of thinking about your body when you are carrying your little one in your belly. There is just a certain je ne sais quoi. I get that feeling from what she says.

She said, “First they say I’m too skinny so I have to be faking it… Now they say I’m too big so I have to be faking it… SMH! Some days I’m photographed before I eat & look smaller, some days I’ve just eaten & I look bigger. It’s all a part of the process. I think you all know me well enough to know I would document the process if I got a surrogate. Everyone’s body is different, every pregnancy is very different! I’ve learned to love my body at every stage! I’m going to get even bigger & that’s beautiful too! First, she is 100 percent correct. I believe that if she were having a surrogate she would be documenting every single minutia of the entire thing, exactly the way she documents every other little detail of her life. For Pete’s sake, she’s got a book of just her selfies.
Second, it is a nice change of pace to see her finally accepting the bigger self she is now, not only from carrying her first child but now her second, and realizing it is a beautiful change. It is also touching to see her acknowledge (not that she didn’t before) that she is lucky to be expecting at all (especially after her well-documented fertility issues), as that is a luxury not afforded to all women who want to be.
We knew the naked pregnant selfie was coming, so the photo is no surprise. But what it says, to me, is proof positive that she is actually carrying little East West (I’m still holding out hope that she fulfills all our dreams by naming her little boy directionally, too).
Forget the naked selfie — her touching sentiments are what we should be focusing on.
