Anna Faris opens up about the truth behind those Chris Pratt cheating rumors

We’ve had enough with shocking celeb splits this year.

More:Why Anna Faris, Chris Pratt are the best married couple in Hollywood

Good thing Anna Faris and her hubby, Chris Pratt — one of our all-time favorite couples — are still going strong, despite rumors that Pratt is cheating.

Still, it’s not easy to hear those kinds of rumors, even when you know they aren’t true, Faris explained to Us Weekly at the TCA Stars Party for CBS, Showtime, the CW and CBS Television Distribution on Monday.

“I had always kind of believed that part of the rumors of celebrity couples were sort of true because they had never been part of my life,” she said. I was like, ‘Oh, maybe there’s a kernel of truth to that.’ It’s been a little devastating because for us, it’s like, ‘What the heck?”

The Mom star continued, “This has been blindsiding to us. We have an incredible relationship. It has been weirdly stinging.”

Faris’ comments are in response to a recent Star magazine report claiming she’s worried that Pratt is cheating on her with his Passengers costar, Jennifer Lawrence.

[That] stung a little bit harder than I thought it would,” she added.

Thankfully, the couple is as strong as ever. Faris continued on to say she knows Pratt is still committed to their marriage and their 3-year-old son, Jack.

“I am very lucky that I am with a man [who] values family,” she explained.

Pratt and Faris met in 2007 while filming their comedy flick, Take Me Home Tonight. They tied the knot in 2009 and have been a solid couple ever since, despite their often-hectic work schedules.

“These are the work years. The gravy years are to come,” Pratt said in a June interview about how they make it work. “The way we work it out is we just take at least one moment every day to be present with one another. Whether or not we’re in the same room, or the same state, or even the same country, we check in, you know?”
